What games do you consider legendary or hall of fame worthy and why? Or games that have potential to become legendary. I'll give some of my examples and reasoning. I don't know every game and haven't played every game that I mentioned. If you think something is missing or disagree, feel free to write and explain why. Summertime saga. Very popular game, a lot of people got into lewd games because of it. Popularity doesn't always mean good product, but things are popular for a reason. In one way or another it gave people what they wanted and I've seen most people talk positively about the game (story, content, variety of different things). The development process and update schedule is unfortunately and unsurprisingly very slow, but it doesn't stop people from playing it and till this day it's one of biggest gateways to lewd games for people. Parasite in city. It's not very popular and a pretty small game, but I think enough people still know about it and refer to it as a classic. It's not revolutionary or genre creating game and it's not the first game with this idea, but I think it's the first to become popular and noticeable enough, figure out the "base formula" that later games used and improved. It's the game that walked so other could run or the game that inspired other games like Sayahata's bad day or Hailey's treasure adventure that give me very similar vibes. It's also still a decent game worth trying out even considering it's time and some bugginess/clunkiness. The last sovereign. Somewhat recently released game that was in development for about 10 years and it's actually finished? And it got hundred+ of hours of content? And it's free? This is one of the biggest rare examples of a game that took so much time to make and it actually delivered for all those years. A lot of games become abandonware or made to make a quick cash with first 0.2 version before devs run out with money of supporters and go radio silent, but this game actually made it till the end. And mostly because it got finished people started talking about it more and more. I've seen a post in this sub with this game's announcement and a lot of recommendations of this game since then. It's a great example showing that there are great games and devs there. Karryns prison. Pretty popular game that often gets recommended in this sub. So often that some people are getting annoyed by it, but I the game deserves it's attention. It's one of the games that give you unique experience you can't really get with other games. There's nothing quite similar unless you want to greatly oversimplify it to female mc, corruption, battlefuck and want to find one similar aspect. It's RPGM game that feels different and I've seen people willing to try other RPGM games because of it. It's a highly polished game with good level of quality and one thing that stands out the most — lots of voice acting. It's not perfect, pricey and doesn't fit everyone and it's still very recommended because it's that good and it's a gameplay game (which may sound stupid and obvious, but we're talking about lewd games here). Some games that I think are on the lower levels of hall of fame or can potentially be there (some are based on this community opinion, if I don't say a lot about it, it's probably worthy and I want to highlight it and curious why it's popular): Aurelia: refered to as one of the best pixel games. Lots of content, great art, music, animated, has fun minigames, has a lot of content. I found some parts to be a little grindy or longer than they should have been, but overall I think it's a great game, kinda pricey but worth it. Legendary but not very high/slightly legendary. Akabur games: princess/witch trainer, maybe others too. Solid fun games that are decently popular, I think it also inspired other games to have similar vibes/elements. There are fan made mods for these games. Some people even tried to copy the style of games or make their games with Akabur characters. I would say lower level legendary. Being a DIK. Popular game liked by a kit of people. Often talked as an example of good story, good looking 3D, variety of characters and choices that matter. Degrees of lewdity. Often recommended as one of the best text based games with lots of kinks, freedom of what to do and customisation. Potentially legendary? Eternum. Often recommended as the great story game or VN that's worth trying. Potentially legendary? Treasure of Nadia and maybe other games from NLT. Potentially legendary? Princess reconquista and Kunoichi sekiren. Promising side scroller games that aren't defeat scene only and you use sex skills in combat. Early in development, potentially legendary?
