Link to the Timeline will be HERE # UPDATE NOTES So it's been awhile since I last posted anything about my own timeline project. >!About 1 year as far as reddit posting goes...!< Since then I've been trying to find ways to better optimize it and not be too much of a cluttered mess while also trying to stay coherent and accurate to what is said in-game but things never really worked out. I eventually built another one from the ground up on Miro by following the old one on Milanote along with making some adjustments. Link to the old Timeline will be HERE With this new timeline I hope it'll be easier to follow along as I continue to mold it into something easier to digest while incorporating everything that connects with each other, be it chapters, BlaBla Missions, Side Stories, etc. THE GOOD Since the Storyline feature was announced and incorporated into the game, it has given us a fairly understandable layout of when Events and Side Stories take place within the Main Story. Also with the inclusion of Raptilion's BlaBla Missions, we can hopefully expect to have more missions added in if the characters involved get elevated into importance in the Story just like Raptilion did. It seems as though with every subsequent event that has came out recently, they seem to be immediately added into the Storyline with the exception of B-Side Idol and Bitter Spice. I can only hope by the time of this posting that the new Summer event will get the same treatment as well. THE BAD Following the Storyline in order to build the new Timeline, I started seeing way too many inconsistencies and lapses in time that I'm thoroughly confused on how things make sense based off the pacing of the chapters into either an event or BlaBla Mission. Chapter 2 into 3, Chapter 15 into 16, Chapter 18 into 19, Chapter 26 into 27, Chapter 34 into 35 and Chapter 44 into 45 all have Events that happen in between them but based off the pacing and dialogue of what's said in the Chapters they don't really make sense in terms of why and how. Like for example in Chapter 2 going into 3, Syuen orders the Commander to go to the Surface with Wardress and the dialogue says that they move out immediately. From what the Storyline says, "No Caller ID" happens in-between them with no involvement of Wardress whatsoever. It would've made sense that it happens sometime after when there's a decent span of time separated from two chapters, but the pacing of everything suggests that chapters happen one after another up until Chapter 7 into 8 where a month passes. Some events, such as Coins In Rush, Boom the Ghost, and Memories Teller also have issues due to the fact that certain characters (or enemy in regards to Gatekeeper for Memories Teller) are shown in the event when that particular character debuted in a previous event. Yet those events aren't incorporated in the Storyline while Coins In Rush, Boom the Ghost and Memories Teller are? Examples being: Coins In Rush with Bunny Soda being shown in one cutscene as well as the Bunny Alice, Bunny Rupee, and Bunny Mary chibi sprites walking around in the overworld event map. Boom the Ghost with the involvement of Frima's, Yan's and Pepper's bikini outfits that were shown off in Blue Water Island. Memories Teller is one of the more understandable yet confusing parts of this since Gatekeeper is involved. The Chainsawman collab "Bullet x Chainsaw" laid out the foundational lore of what Gatekeeper is how it manifested into the world and by Memories Teller the Commander and the CG already have a grasp on the capabilities of Gatekeeper doing it's shenanigans due to the fact of when "visitors" mysteriously show up. To not incorporate the previous events due to not being able to based off of the contract of the related IP is one thing, but it feels like Shift Up shot themselves in the foot by putting it in the Storyline since it leaves out the context of everything else that happened before it along with how to properly place it in the timeline. The other blaring conversation of collabs being canon or not is another discussion entirely that I'd rather not go into right now as well... THE UGLY As of currently on June 26th, 2026 Nikke doesn't have included in the Storyline: 50 Events 158 Bond Stories (excluding collab characters which would be instead 183) 14 Favorite Item Stories 44 BlaBla Side Missions 295 Brief Encounters With the current structure of the Storyline along with the dialogue and pacing throughout the chapters, there is no discernable way to accurately incorporate everything into it based on how it is now. The only ways that it can be added into the Storyline is either by retconning a lot of the already existing Story or by specifying in detail how much time passes in-between Chapters either through the Storyline feature or editing the dialogue entirely. Shift Up has already retconned Yulha's Bond Story based off of this Post from u/PotatoPotluck and even then I don't know what else they've changed without explicitly mentioning it. After attending AX and finishing the upcoming Summer Event, I'm going to try and go through everything again to see if there were any changes made. Hopefully before the next update with the new chapters of 47 and 48 release.
