For those unfamiliar with the project, Champion of I: Luxuria is an 18+ dark fantasy narrative RPG focused on party building, management, exploration, combat, and companion relationships. Players take the role of a Champion(male), a mortal elevated by the will of a god. They will gather allies, recruit Guardians, expand their settlement, and explore the forgotten land of Vezniel. Relationships develop through story choices, narrative events, and intimate encounters. It's been a little while since the last public build, and I've been busy. So I figured I'd do a quick recap of what's been added internally since then. A lot of the recent work has gone into companion content. The main companions have each received new lewd scenes, including additional Special Training events, new conversations, and more opportunities to develop their relationship with the MC. Combat has also seen a pretty substantial overhaul. Morale now plays a much larger role in battles, enemies have gained unique abilities, and the new Rupture system adds moments where players need to either respond to an incoming threat or deal with the consequences. Outside of combat, the management and exploration systems have continued to expand. Kingdom Upgrades are now available, additional gathering locations have been added to the Veznian Forest, and there are several new events to discover. On the visual side, the first Live2D scenes have been completed. The initial scenes in the game are comparatively static compared to the latest content. The generic Guardian roster has also been expanded with 36 new combat sprites across the Warrior, Rogue, and Mage archetypes. There's also been a lot of smaller improvements that don't fit neatly into a single category: UI updates, combat readability improvements, balance changes, QoL features, bug fixes, and general polish. Development is currently focused on 0.0.4, which will be the next public release. The current dev build is v0.0.3.7. As always, 0.0.4 will be ready when it's ready.
