Pretty wild since it’s beee more than year and a half since we ever saw these twins, though I feel all that waiting is building up to a big reveal of what happened to both of them. As we know from the epilogue of Unbreakable Sphere, Cindy wanted to find the two of them when Siren dropped a bomb saying both of them were now enemies of humanity. Ever since that statement, we’re all left to speculate how or what caused these two to be considered enemies now. Most likely this statement refers to them getting corrupted which had to have happened post after being blasted off the space elevator from the Queen to where we don’t know about where they landed. It’s also important to acknowledge that Siren did see both of them before washing up ashore and meeting Levi, so chronologically these two got corrupted/converted right after or soon after their descent back to the surface. Now this is where I get to speculation based off their names Hansel and Gretel. As we know these two names are the name of the two siblings from the classic fairytale created by the Grimm brothers. The biggest thing to note is that these two twins were tricked by a witch to enter her lair where the witch intended to eat them both but before she could the twins escaped. And that’s where I wanna theorize that the same can apply to the Hansel and Gretel we know. They possibly got corrupted not by the Queen, but either by a Heretic or an upper-Tyrant class rapture that’s forcing the twins to follow their bidding. This is just speculation based on the fairytale, but I believe after the current events with the Queen now descended, it will lead to other heretics that were dormant or spread around to start to congregate towards the Queen. This means that Hansel and Gretel would be soon to arrive as foot soldiers serving the Queen and most possibly confronting Cindy, Siren, and Abe first to create a dramatic reunion involved in killing the heretic/rapture that’s forcing has the twins by the reins. So what do you think Commanders? Are the twins finally gonna make their reappearance soon or will there still be a wait till the next anniversary to garner their return?
