A few days ago someone accused one of my game animations of being “AI slop” and honestly it left me thinking about how weird internet discussions around art are becoming lately. These are some PNG frames from that animation sequence. The funny thing is that the artist who worked on it had never even animated before, and I actually thought they did a really solid job for a first attempt. I totally understand constructive criticism. If someone says: “this frame looks off” “the movement feels stiff” “the shading makes it look AI-generated” that’s fair and useful feedback. But lately it feels like some people instantly jump to “AI” the moment something looks slightly unusual or polished. Do you think we’re reaching a point where eventually almost every digital artwork or animation will get accused of being AI generated?
